The No Win No Fee Agreement

The formal term for “No Win No Fee” is actually called a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA) and is a funding agreement between an individual and their solicitor. Under such agreement you normally would not have to pay any fees on the basis that your solicitor will recover your reasonable legal costs from your opponent on the successful conclusion of your claim. Most claims that we receive are funded this way. Whether you choose to make a claim through our panel solicitors or go to a high street firm of solicitors would not probably make much difference as we do not charge you any fees and most solicitors also use this type of funding for personal injury
claims.
Background
Conditional Fee Agreements have been in place since Legal Aid was withdrawn for personal injury cases in 2000. This was with the introduction of the Access to Justice Act 1999.
Since then, Conditional Fee Agreements have benefited tens of thousands of people to pursue their personal injury claim successfully which they previously would not have been able to afford to do.
Benefits
By pursuing your personal injury claim under a Conditional Fee Agreement The Accident Team you can be assured that you will receive the following benefits:
- You do not have to pay your solicitors fees
- You do not have to pay for any disbursements i.e. medical reports, fees of any barrister instructed on your behalf and court fees
- You can enter into a conditional fee agreement regardless of your financial circumstances
- You keep 100% of your compensation with no deductions made
Alternative funding methods
There are a range funding methods available for you to pursue your compensation claim. For example, if you have a motor insurance policy or a home insurance policy you may also have cover for legal expenses. This would normally cover the legal costs of you making a claim through The Accident Team.
Funding your compensation claim is dependant on your individual circumstances. Our solicitors will guide you through the options available and will offer you advice on the best method of funding appropriate to you in swift and simple terms.
