Face injury claims
Each of us are identified by our facial features which is made up of a large number of intricate bones for example; the cheekbone or zygomatic bone, the nasal bone, the maxillæ (upper jaw), the mandible or inferior maxillary bone (lower jaw), and the skull. It is the make up of these bones, soft tissue and hair that gives us our unique identity.
Facial injuries occur as a result of trauma caused by for example; bike accidents, motor bike accidents, road traffic accidents, burns or because of physical violence. By far the most harrowing and distressing of all personal injuries are those which cause facial disfigurement as the emotional impact can be quite devastating especially if the injury results in permanent scarring and facial disfigurement.
Why don’t people claim the compensation they are entitled to?
Recent data suggests that of all accident victims, only 30% claim the compensation that they deserve and are entitled to. Anyone who has suffered a facial injury in an accident caused by the negligence of another person has a right in law to make a claim for facial scarring compensation they deserve.
